Seven skin care habits to follow in the new year
We all want flawless, healthy-looking skin that glows. It is, however, easier said than done. Consistent skin care habits are the key to flaunting healthy, radiant skin. These skin care habits must be practiced on a daily basis. We even suggested incorporating these habits into your New Year's resolutions. 1.) Every day, drink at least two to three litres of water
This cannot be overemphasised. Although it may be tempting to reach for a cup of coffee as soon as you wake up, you should begin your day with a glass of water. Water first keeps your body hydrated and refreshed, and it also helps to maintain the elasticity of your skin. It cleanses the body of all toxins, which improves skin texture and overall appearance. The importance of internal hydration cannot be overstated! In order to keep your skin looking young and healthy, you should drink at least eight glasses of water per day.
2.) Maintain a regular skin care routine
Our skin is the outermost organ and hence exposed to so much wear and tear every day - pollution, make-up, dust, dirt and sweat, to name a few. Caring for your skin is important for your overall skin health, fighting other skin problems and diminishing signs of ageing. A good skin care regime is key to having healthy looking skin. 3.) Never go to bed without cleansing your face first
