Four Eye Makeup Looks for the Festive Season, Lakme Salon

Four must try eye makeup looks for the festive season

Diwali is just round the corner, and we can't wait to get decked out in our finery for the festive season. However, as responsible citizens, our masks need to be on, which means the next important question is, what about our makeup? With a mask covering most of our face, our eyes are going to be the focus of attention. And here’s where we have got you covered! As our eyes take centrestage, it is vital they do all the talking with some great eye makeup looks. This gives us an opportunity to play around with colour and experiment with different techniques. Here are some trendsetting eye makeup looks from Anupma Katyal, National Creative Director, Lakme Salon, that you can easily recreate at home.

Time to sparkle

If you love a bit of sparkle, the festive season is your chance. Gold and shimmer are one of the hottest eye trends this season and you can incorporate this into your Diwali look. Moreover, gold shadow works well on all skin colours and perfectly complements any festive outfit.

For a bold gold eye, apply the eyeshadow over the entire eyelid, while if you’d prefer a more subtle route, apply it only on the tips of the eyelid. Use the Lakme 9 To 5 Eye Colour Quartet Eye Shadow Desert Rose with its high-intensity powders to give your eyes a defined finish.

Kitten wing it

The kitten eyeliner is another trend that most celebrities have been flaunting on the red carpet this season. It is a variation of the cat-eyeliner trend and would be a striking addition to your festive makeup look.

Instead of drawing a bold black line, just create a tiny flick near the outer corner of the eye. Enhance the peepers with a tiny kitten flick to highlight the eyes. Use a black liquid eyeliner such as the Lakme Insta Eye Liner to help you achieve the perfect kitten flick.

Smokey eyes

The smokey eye is a beauty trend that never goes out of style, with celebrities rocking it all over red carpets. Start by prepping your eye with a primer. Line your eyelid with the Lakme Absolute Forever Silk Eyeliner Black and use the Lakme Eyeconic Kajal on the waterline.

Pick not more than three shades from the Lakme Absolute Infinity Eye Shadow Palette You want to use the lightest shade on the inner corner and darkest on the outer corner of the eye. Beginning from the outside, slowly blend the colours with a thick fluffy brush.
Add a nude lip to your smokey look and you are good to go.

Soft glam monochromatic eyes

This soft glam makeup look is all the rage right now and you can now incorporate it into your Diwali makeup routine. Choose your eye colours from the same family as, for this look, your aim is monochromatic, not dramatic. Use the Lakme Absolute Infinity Eye Shadow Palette, Coral Sunset with hues of peach, coral, orange, red and beige. Apart from the eyeshadow, fluffy soft glam brows also play a huge role in getting the look right. Dab your brush or spoolie on a bar of soap and brush your brows upwards to get it fluffy and soft. Finally dab a dash of mascara on the eye lashes. We recommend the Lakme Absolute 3D Lash Volumizer for bold and fuller peepers.

Finally, let your eyes do all the talking and have fun!
