Tired of the same red lip and heavy eyeshadow look for the festive season and want to try something new? Our in-house expert Anupma Katyal, National Creative Director - Makeup, Lakmé Salon unveils runway looks that you can recreate at your home.

  1. Dewy Skin

This no-makeup look is perfect for all seasons, especially the festive one. This minimal dewy makeup look needs a natural makeup base and a generous dose of highlighter on all the high points of your face i.e. the cheekbones and the tips of the nose and chin, to create an illusion of fresh, naturally hydrated skin. Use the lightweight Lakmé 9 To 5 Weightless Mousse Foundation in a shade that complements your skin to achieve this dewy look. Follow up with the Lakmé Absolute White Intense Liquid Concealer to cover up dark circles and pigmentation. Don't forget to blend it well. Complete this look with a touch of highlighter on all the high points of your face, add rosy blush to the apple of your cheeks, and finish with a nude lip.

  1. Coloured brows

Black brows are a thing of the past. Now is the time for heavily defined, dark brows, coloured brows with artistic shapes or fake eyelashes over natural for some extra drama. Recreate these trending runway eyebrow looks at home and be a trend-setter at the festive parties this season. To get the coloured eyebrow looks, begin by combing your eyebrows with a spoolie and colour them in using a coloured wax-based eyebrow pencil. Comb your eyebrows once again. Select a shade from the Lakmé Absolute Spotlight Eye Shadow Palette, Smokin Glam which has the perfect combination of intense matte and shimmer colours, and gently dab the eye colour over the coloured brow. Voilà your coloured eyebrow look is ready!

  1. Touch of metallics

Metallics are in trend this season and we recommend incorporating this popular runway trend into your festive makeup. You can use these shimmering metallic shades on your eyes or take a step forward and create a shimmering metallic brow to draw attention. Complement these metallic accents with a darker lip and jet-black eyeliner. Use the Lakmé Absolute Spotlight Eye Shadow Palette, Smokin Glam or the Lakmé Absolute Infinity Eye Shadow Palette, Midnight Magic for the best mix of shimmery metallic shades.

  1. Bejeweled eyes

Who said to leave the rhinestones and sequins for your festive attire only? Up the ante of your festive makeup look by incorporating rhinestones into your eye makeup. For this, you will need rhinestones, toothpicks, clear lash glue and white eyeliner. First, start by using the Lakmé Absolute Blur Perfect Makeup Primer on your eyelids. Next, create a tiny, dotted line with your eyeliner to mark the placement of rhinestones. Apply lash glue to your eyelids and gently place the rhinestones one by one and your embellished eye makeup look is complete.

  1. Pop of colour

Bring in pops of colour through your festive makeup. Ditch the repetitive warm hues and use complementary colours for your eye makeup (e.g. lavender, violet, and plum or turquoise, bubblegum pink and tangerine). Use a blend of both bright and pastel shades to create a multi-coloured eye shadow look that is sure to stun. The Lakmé Absolute Infinity Eye Shadow Palette, Coral Sunset and the Lakmé Absolute Infinity Eye Shadow Palette, Pink Paradise have the best mix of vibrant and bright colours to help you create this multi-coloured festive makeup look.
